For the second consecutive year, BNP Paribas Cardif is taking part in Innorobo, a major showcase for the international robotics community, set for 16-18 May, 2017 at the Docks de Paris exhibition centre. This year’s event will focus on the real-world impact of new technologies, bringing BNP Paribas Cardif an opportunity to spotlight the importance of innovations in robotics and in particular their potential applications for the insurance sector.

Robots and artificial intelligence to help create tomorrow’s insurance solutions

The insurance industry is experiencing major disruptions from new uses and approaches introduced by the robotics revolution. Examples abound: increased automation of repetitive tasks makes it possible to compensate policyholders faster, the customer experience is enriched by the use of emotionally intelligent robots, and more vulnerable segments of the population can benefit from robot companions. Now is the time to think seriously about the potential of robotics and artificial intelligence to improve the consumer experience.

BNP Paribas Cardif is committed to offering products and services that are always matched as closely as possible to the expectations of its distributor partners and its clients. This is why the insurer is partnering with the Innorobo event to allow visitors to share experiences related to insurance (virtual reality, man/machine interfaces, e-health and more) and concretely demonstrate the benefits of this robotics revolution for policyholders.

Partnership aligned with BNP Paribas Cardif’s open innovation strategy

This partnership with Innorobo allows BNP Paribas Cardif to support a leading platform in a field that will play an increasingly vital role in years ahead and at the same time strengthen the insurer’s open innovation approach. Initiated three years ago with its Cardif Lab’, this strategy centres on co-creation, collaboration with start-ups, sophisticated data analysis and rethinking the customer journey.

BNP Paribas Cardif will be able to expand initiatives to apply advances in robotics and artificial intelligence to the insurance sector to invent forward-facing solutions for its distributor partners and clients.

Our partnership with Innorobo reflects a commitment by BNP Paribas Cardif to actively contribute to the innovative robotics ecosystem. Through this collaboration we can better engage with the potential of these technologies to positively impact insurance. The goal is to bring our partners and clients services that reflect the new economy, meaning faster responses, better reliability and a sharper focus on clients. Robotics has tremendous possibilities to bring BNP Paribas Cardif closer to its clients to better address their needs and expectations,” said Stanislas Chevalet, Chief Operating Officer and Head of Transformation and Development at BNP Paribas Cardif.
