BNP Paribas Cardif attended the sixth Vivatechnology event, the international trade fair for innovation and startups from 15th to 18th June, at the Parc des Expositions Porte de Versailles.
Mobility and inclusion were the central themes of the event, which this year returned to a large-scale in-person format.

The BNP Paribas space hosted partners, start-ups and entrepreneurs, experts in tech, innovation, payments, and more.
Through its presence at the event, BNP Paribas wanted to share the very best of digital innovations that support responsible finance and the customer experience.
No less than 70 conferences took place over the four days of the event, with experts and members of the BNP Paribas ecosystems, focused around the some major structuring themes: Scaling up, Women’s Entrepreneurship, Sustainable Mobility, Metaverse-Data-IA, Innovative Payment, Digital Inclusion, and Tech for Good.


 

The METAVERSE Lab, a virtual conference space, provided visitors and speakers with a unique and immersive experience. Various start-ups were represented in the BNP Paribas metaverse space, in which visitors had the opportunity to walk around virtually and find out about them.

BNP Paribas Cardif provided floor tours to its international partners attending the event, in order to introduce them to the innovative start-ups it is working with. These floor tours were organised from a selection of eight start-ups attending the show:  Beev, ClimateSeed, Cubyn, Ÿnsect, ALGAMA, Owkin, Payflow, Qover
 

The Cardif Lab’ captivated participants by providing a brand new gaming experience, based around insurance. 
A real virtual experience for discovering the world of insurance in our daily life. 
As a transformation and development accelerator, the Cardif Lab’ anticipates trends, embodies BNP Paribas Cardif’s vision for 2025, and showcases the innovations of BNP Paribas Cardif. 
The Cardif Lab teams also presented the akousmaflore, an interactive musical plant that reacts to gestures and touch. In addition to adding a touch of greenery to the Cardif LAB’ spaces, the plant is also used as a motion detector. 

 

BNP Paribas Cardif showcases the role of women

 


 

This year, the role of women was particularly showcased. On the business side of things, support for women’s entrepreneurship, and “tailor-made” support from BNP Paribas Cardif was showcased, with conferences and dedicated speeches. Women in Tech, still under-represented, were given special focus, with a dedicated space at our Lab over the four days.

 

Women & girls in tech: an innovative program to inspire career paths

 

At the initiative of BNP Paribas, and with the help of the Digital Ladies & Allies and BECOMTECH associations, 
Women & Girls in Tech” was born in 2019 from the desire to deconstruct stereotypes in the Tech professions, inspire women and girls to pursue a career in this field, and encourage women and girls from every generations to feel justified in their choice of a career path in digital technology.
Conferences, round tables, and more: all ways of finding out about the different opportunities in technology, inspiring career paths, deconstructing clichés, and allowing women to take their rightful place in Tech.
On this occasion, Nathalie Doré, Chief impact & innovation officer at BNP Paribas Cardif, and Solenne de Montessus, Analytics manager at BNP Paribas Cardif,  talked on the stage about their careers and their roles at BNP Paribas Cardif, to showcase the careers of women in tech and digital.
