By reducing policy exclusions, BNP Paribas Cardif is making it easier to access insurance. This commitment is illustrated in different countries such as Japan, Taiwan and Turkey.

BNP Paribas Cardif is committed to making insurance more inclusive, notably by facilitating access to loan insurance when taking out a property loan. As proof of this desire to protect vulnerable people, the two loan insurance policies available in France, Cardif Libertés Emprunteur and Atout Emprunteur, now offer coverage and pricing adapted to people suffering from Parkinson’s disease, gestational diabetes, asthma, paraplegia, and psychological problems linked to life events.

For its Atout Emprunteur policy, BNP Paribas Cardif has also relaxed the general conditions for people suffering from obesity.

BNP Paribas Cardif takes into account medical advances and improvements in treatments over the years, in order to offer coverage and pricing that are increasingly adapted to people’s real-world circumstances, so as to help them achieve their projects with complete peace of mind.

In Japan, BNP Paribas Cardif is easing the underwriting conditions for their creditor protection insurance with Cancer Rider, so that people with a history of cancer can take out a mortgage loan from a bank, subject to individual conditions. It's the first time such coverage has been available in the country. The product is now available from four different banks.

In 2021, over 99% of the loan insurance applications received for the Atout Emprunteur contract, distributed by BNP Paribas branches, were accepted and resulted in insurance offers, 94% of which were at a standard rate. This performance illustrates the importance and the sincerity of BNP Paribas Cardif’s commitment to ever more inclusive insurance.
